Established in 2013, Veri-Site is the result of collaborations between advertising partners, guardians of trusted brands, financial institutions and regulators to reduce involuntary association and transactions in:

DAAP Services

In 2015, the Trustworthy Accountability Group (TAG) launched the “Brand Integrity Program Against Piracy” to help advertisers and their advertising agencies avoid damage to their brands from ad placements on websites that facilitate the distribution of pirated content, illegal dissemination of counterfeit goods, and other illicit content. Veri-Site is closely involved with this initiative, and is a validated Digital Advertising Assurance Provider (DAAP), working with TAG members to ensure their compliance with the program.

Not only does Veri-Site track and provide data concerning illicit and high-risk activity on the internet, but it also tracks any connections to other websites, individuals or entities.

This data enables our clients to make informed digital advertising campaign decisions. Beyond providing the advertising ecosystem with the ability to understand where advertisements are being misplaced, our data can assist clients seize accounts that wrongly hold their advertising proceeds.

With this specific problem in mind, Veri-site prepared a study in 2017, titled ‘Badvertising- When Ads go Rogue’. The study was prepared for FICCI Frames, an annual global media and entertainment conference held in Mumbai.

In the payment processing arena, service providers such as Visa, MasterCard and Amex, have strict guidelines that prevent merchants from using their services to facilitate illegal transactions. This process has forced issuing banks and payment processors to implement comprehensive risk management frameworks to avoid being fined by the issuing service providers.

As part of this process, Veri-Site's database enables issuing banks and payment processors to screen against 'known-risk' or to discover 'unknown-risk' by mapping out relationships and links between seemingly unrelated parties.
