Bharat Dube

Bharat Dube

Bharat Dube was awarded an A.B. magna cum laude from Harvard in 1983, and a Juris Doctor from Duke Law in 1986. Prior to establishing SIPI, Bharat worked for WIPO in Geneva, before becoming a key member of the Richemont Litigation team (1990-2011). At Richemont, he was responsible for handling infringements for Cartier and Montblanc. Bharat serves on the Board of the Geneva-based NGO International Bridges to Justice.

Bharat Kapoor has a B.A. Honours from the University of Technology, Sydney. Prior to joining SIPI, he was an Associate Director at Ernst & Young India, where he led the business development and advisory services program for companies operating in the media, e-commerce, and advertising sectors.

As the founder of O2O Brand Protection, Dean has extensive international business and product development experience. He has worked with numerous Fortune 500 companies and continues to help the SIPI team enhance the value it provides to its international clients.

Richard Gronback

Previously a reactor operator in the U.S. Navy, with a Computer Science degree from the University of Connecticut, Richard specialises in big data management and the development of cloud-based software applications. He is also the author of “The Eclipse Modelling Project, a Domain-Specific Language Toolkit.”

Nikhil Grover

Nikhil Grover

Nikhil holds a Bachelor of Computer Engineering and MBAs from Northwestern’s Kellogg School for Management and the IESE Business School. Prior to joining SIPI, Nikhil was an Assistant Manager in the Security Operations Division of Standard Chartered Singapore. He has served as the Senior Strategy and Finance Manager for SIPI since 2014.

Benjamin Zivan

Benjamin is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and has 10 years of experience in China, including 3 years in Tencent’s Legal Department. With proven leadership skills and deep expertise in Chinese e-commerce, IPR, and anti-counterfeiting, Benjamin handles operations and account management for O2O.

Jeffrey Unger

Jeffrey founded Genuone Inc., a Boston-based brand protection. Genuone Inc. was later acquired by the Opsec Security Group, a UK-based technology, security printing, and software company. Between 2006 and 2010, Jeffrey served as the Global Divisional President at Opsec, and is currently Chairman and CEO of G2 Capital Advisors, an American company providing investment lifecycle advisory services to middle market investors and companies.

Ashfaq Munshi

Ashfaq has Bachelor’s Degree in Physics and Applied Mathematics from Harvard University, a Computer Science degree from Brown University and a Business degree from Stanford’s Executive Program. He has 20 years of entrepreneurship, engineering, marketing, and management experience in Silicon Valley. Ashfaq is the founder of three successful companies, including Radiance (f. 2000), Vivecon, SpecialtyMD (acquired by Ventro) and Commerce Engine (became Ariba).

Bruno Kelly

Bruno spent 20 years at Merrill Lynch Europe, reaching the position of Managing Director. He is highly active in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and wealth management across Europe, the Middle East, and South East Asia.

Ray Black

Ray Black is an internationally well-known IP lawyer who has represented many leading IP owners in their fight against IP theft. In a career spanning 42 years, Ray established and led the IP practice of Baker & McKenzie Asia (1981-1991) and SJ Berwin UK (1991-2015). In 2015, he joined the IP practice of Mishcon in London until he retired in April 2019. He joined SIPI as a Strategic Advisor in September 2019.

Arpan Banerjee

Arpan Banerjee is an assistant professor at Jindal Global Law School in India. He is currently on research leave and based at UNSW in Sydney. Arpan has previously been affiliated with the Indian Institute of Technology in Kharagpur (as assistant professor), Bucerius Law School in Hamburg as (as Humboldt Foundation German Chancellor Fellow), and the Universities of Oxford and Tel Aviv (as a visiting scholar). Arpan has published widely and lectured around the world. Prior to joining academia, he practised as an IP lawyer in India and advised well-known corporations in both contentious and non-contentious matters.
